Are you wanting beautiful skin from the time you wake up until the time you go to bed? There is good news…It is totally possible!

If you are wanting to wake up with beautiful skin you need to set the tone for the night BEFORE you head to bed. Here are my best tips for waking up with pretty skin.

1.)Wash the day away

Before you head to bed you MUST wash the day away. You may have already known this Buuuut do you know that you should be double cleansing!? Meaning, washing your face once and then washing it AGAIN. This is a great routine to get into so I would start tonight. First cleans gets off the day from the surface of your skin. The second cleans gets into the pores and crevices of your skin. In the crevices is usually where we see a breakouts or dullness appearing. If you weren’t sure why, this is why. So tonight try washing your face twice.

2.) Tone and Moisturize

After you wash your face tone and moisturize your face. Toning brings the PH of your face back to square. This sets the tone of having a blank canvas for your serums and moisturizer to work. Toning can come in different forms depending on your product line that you use. The toner that goes with the wash will more then likely be your best bet to use to reset the ph of your face. Next, after toning is to moisturize! EVEN IF YOU HAVE OILY SKIN. No matter what type of skin you have your face needs a moisturizer. If you are dry then you may use a little bit heavier moisturizer. If you are oily use a nice and light moisturizer. There are many options out there so talk with your favorite esthi to find one that will work well with your skin. Moisturizer keeps your cells happy and supple.

Pro Tip: If you are going to use serums, put them on before your moisturizer.

3.) Clean and/or Satin Pillow Case

Your beautiful face spends (hopefully) 8 blissful hours smashed up against your pillow. That pillow case should be free of bacteria. All that would do is sit on your skin, making it work extra hard to be beautiful for you in the morning. Best practice is to have a pillow case washed every other night or my favorite is using a satin pillow case. Satin naturally gets rid of oils and voids off bacteria from growing. Satin pillow cases are not exactly cheap though so do some research and save up for one. This may be the best little gift you get yourself or may be your next gift idea for holiday or birthday.

At the end of the day is when we want to be the most diligent about our face routine. Making these 3 steps should help immensely in the way you see your skin when you wake up in the morning. I’ll leave you with one last PRO TIP: do your routine an hour to a half hour before bed so your face has had a chance to absorb your serums and your moisturizer.
